Before the Sunday winter storm warning went into effect, weekend activities included building a snow T-rex (“My favorite dinosaur,” says David), which is currently an annual tradition, taking part in a snowball fight, and learning about finding the right jacket to “skunk.”

Where have the holidays gone? And how fast 2008 has already gone by! This news item, which you will undoubtedly be reading much later than the date attributed to it, will provide a summary of the Christmas and New Year holidays.

For those of you who didn’t receive a copy of our Annual Holiday Letter with the Christmas card, with obligatory Banks Family summary of activities, please feel free to contact us.

You may also blame the late New Year site posting on the creation of the 2nd Banks Family DVD, Banks Family Christmas 2007, sent to the grandparents. But if you want a copy, drop us a line! Snippets of footage from that video are featured below.

Family Aside: We would like to wish continued good health and extended recovery to Parker Toke, son of dedicated parents Colin and Julia, with the trio’s ordeal with Parker’s pyloric stenosis. Read about their story and extend your good intentions.

Hello everyone! We already have what we want for Christmas this year! He’s a blue-eyed, blondish bundle of joy and energy, David Joseph Banks, born February 27, 2006.

How fast he’s grown! He started out a 7 pound swaddled burrito, then was rolling over to reach for our faces, then crawling over to devour the Sunday paper. This holiday finds him crawling and climbing, thwarting every baby-proof device we’ve installed.

We are thrilled to share him with you. We hope 2007 is a wonderful year for all!
