Sure, I bet those friends and relatives — living in warmer climes such as sunny, earthquake-prone California or hurricane-happy Florida — may smirk, but we must share the weekend weather in northeastern Ohio.
Seems like about 10 inches to 2 feet packed itself in over the weekend, starting Friday afternoon, and it wasn’t until Sunday that we finally left the house by car, while other neighbors were still digging out.
The newer snow-blower blade finally gave out on the Second Day post-Near Blizzard, whilst Daddy contemplated a snow-removal device of a larger variety (hire a snow plowing service next winter?). Mommy had dug out the base of the driveway on Saturday, after the city snow plows gave every driveway two more feet of densely packed snow to remove. And with another foot of accumulation that night, we had to do it all over again the next day.
In this video, you’ll see David (with a little help from Daddy) putting the final touches on the snow-removal effort on Sunday morning before we escaped to the grocery store.

Ha ha ha ha! Thats a whole lotta snow. Maybe I will move to Fiji!
Spider Steph alerted me to your latest post! That is one great video! It looks like your driveway is about a quarter of a mile long! We stayed in on Saturday and dug out yesterday morning. I enjoyed making a big snow angel, but found myself stuck and yelling for help to get out of the snow drift! It sure was beautiful out there! Hope you enjoy what’s left of winter!
Hi Guys! We had 17 inches in Milford Center. What a blizzard we had. I really enjoyed the video! I love the hat and gloves little David was wearing. Take care! We will be on the Big Meltdown at the end of the week.
Love you all, Carla
That is a lot of snow. Did you guys build a snowman?
The snow was too high to build a snowman that time! Besides, by the time the driveway was cleared, it was time to get snuggly by the fire. We did build snow creatures for the last snowfall of the season, later in the month.
How quickly we forgot that snow, especially now that it’s June with a predicted high of 94 degrees today!
