David Sweeps Series
It’s too bad about those Cleveland Indians and Colorado Rockies, but if you really want to watch the best sweep series this year, take a peek at David helping us out with the vacuuming.
He just wants to do what we do, and we’ve found that the day progresses with few complaints from our #1 son if Sheryl and I just let him help.
Near the end of this video, notice how David circles around his house toy to make sure there’s room for the sweeper to get around.
Yesterday, after David and I arrived home, I decided to do a little fall cleanup. I was taking two sprinklers into the garage, when I heard David say, “Dada, help,” which meant, “Dada, let me help you take one of those sprinklers into the garage.
Which is the opposite, we’ve found, of “Help, Dada,” which means, “Help me with this, Dada.”
When leaving the house, David insists on closing the door, requesting our keys, and taking one key and carefully turning it in the old (non-working) lock within his reach.
Simply listening to David and being mindful of his intent have become skills we have learned to treasure.
