Our first winter together as a married couple has brought a few discoveries, such as where in the house the insulation needs to be upgraded. Brr! Something for the To Do List by next fall. Why Joe didn’t notice this as a bachelor is up for speculation.
We did warm up at Ruth Chris Steakhouse for a Valentine’s Day Weekend (see photo of pre-going-out moment, right), using a graciously given gift certificate from the Xmas holidays. Joe did have his yearly allotment of beef in the form of a petite filet, while Sheryl stuck to a grilled portabello dish to leave room for dessert. Service was slow, the drinks were big but so were the prices. Rating: 7.5/10
At this point, we’re looking forward to Spring thaw and the Cleveland International Film Festival. We got a little excited after seeing the Fest’s preview trailer (the most original in years) last night before a showing of “Vera Drake” (Rating: 9.5/10) at the Cedar Lee.
